I haven’t written anything here in a long time, but I’m still around and hacking. I even got a new pet project (sort of) to work on.
I have been slowly hacking on Deep Sky and making steady progress. It’s massive multiplayer online 4X game written in Haskell and Elm. And it’s definitely a hobby project, not actually aiming to be completed. Main reason I’m writing it is to get familiar with Haskell and Elm.
There’s tiny beginning of a manual online. Since it’s written with markdown, it’s easy to have it alongside of source code and not depend on any particular publishing platform.
The new hobby project of sorts I have is Hacker Public Radio. Or rather recording an episode now and then. Topics have been ranging from painting and gaming to coding, but recently I have started making episodes about Deep Sky and what I have learned while working on it. Episodes are available online for your listening pleasure. And if you’re so inclined, feel free to record an episode about pretty much any topic that would be interest of hackers and submit it to Hacker Public Radio.
