So, last Friday we had our first class on product lifecycle management and I must admit that I feel quite overwhelmed. Scope of the subject is really huge and essentially covers everything “from cradle to grave”. Lifecycle starts as soon as somebody has a vague idea of a product that could be done and ends when there is not a single product in use anymore (or it can continue even further).
First class was just going through the very basics of the PLM and getting familiar with the terms. Barrage of abbreviations was constant and one really needs to pay attention in order to understand what’s going on.
